What are ceramic coatings? A great question. 

First a quick question for you: Do you want your vehicle to always look glossy and brand new, be easy to wash, and be protected from the elements?

Without wasting too much of your time I want to quickly tell you what a ceramic coating is and also some things that they aren't!

Ok. Ceramic coatings are awesome and I believe every vehicle should be coated, but there are limits to what a coating does.

You may have heard some of these from inexperienced detailers or even manufacturers trying to get sales but
scratch proof, hardness, these are not reasons to get a ceramic coating… coatings only accomplish scratch resistance on a very small scale. 

Another one is that you will never have to wash again.
Coating do make washing significantly easier and more enjoyable because your car will stay cleaner longer, but of course it will get dirty over time.

If it sounds way too good to be true.. IT IS

These are a few of the biggest misconceptions you should be aware of. Coatings are not a cheap investment and it is worth doing some research before pulling the trigger on getting your vehicle coated.
